Embracing Authenticity: Unleashing My Truth
On the morning of my birthday, a fierce fire within me roared—a desire to roar myself. To let my voice be heard, to unleash truths that have been bottled within, and to stand unapologetically in my own skin.
The fear of expressing our truths steers us away from the life we're destined for. It shackles us from aligning with our higher purpose, stifling our service to truth. This day, this awakening feels like a liberation from lifetimes of subservience—a past where voicing our thoughts was forbidden, where we danced only to the tunes of masters and authorities. Today, I step into 2022 with an unrestrained resolve.
This newfound liberation echoes the spirit of Nelson Mandela, South Africa's ex-president, who emerged after 27 years of imprisonment for his unwavering truth and battle against injustice.
Mandela's words resonate: "As I walked out of the door towards my freedom, I knew that if I did not leave all the anger, hatred, and bitterness behind that I would still be in prison."
Today, I too walk away from my self-imposed prison. A grin stretches across my face—a genuine smile radiating contentment from within. I glance back at the puppeteers of my past, those who dictated my narrative. I extend gratitude for the struggles they placed before me. These obstacles have widened the gateway to my freedom, my path to leadership.
Overflowing with love, gratitude, and empathy, I bid farewell to my yesteryears. With unwavering conviction, I declare my identity—I know myself, my purpose, my mission. The chapters of my journey shall ink themselves into a legacy, a book of emancipation. I embrace the stance of NO—the refusal to people-please, to trade my happiness for others'. An emphatic NO to narcissists, manipulators, and controllers.
With an affirmative YES, I welcome dreams and desires that have long waited backstage. YES to ease, YES to authenticity! YES to voicing truth unapologetically. YES to staying aligned with my values. YES to defining my boundaries.
Flow and lightness—YES. Laughter and merriment—YES. I step into the spotlight of my essence—YES. I vow to serve my tribe, my ideal clients—YES. I breathe in the essence of existence with intention and purpose. My gratitude extends to the force that orchestrates life—a force I humbly acknowledge.
In devotion, I turn to the universe, to God. With boundless love and unshakable belief, I stand in acceptance of myself.
