"Nothing is more important than I feel good." Say this three times, and let it sink into your being.
This powerful affirmation from Esther and Jerry Hicks' Money and the Law of Attraction card deck has been my mantra this past month. As a physical empath, I’ve always felt the emotions and energy of others in a deeply visceral way, often as pain in my body. This can be both a gift and a challenge, especially in my work as a healer and coach.
The Challenge of Empathy
Recently, I experienced two strikingly different client sessions that illuminated the importance of this affirmation. The first session was excruciating. Before it even began, I felt a sharp pain in my body—a signal of the client’s negative, stuck energy. The session was draining, and afterward, I felt angry and frustrated. Why had I allowed myself to endure such pain?
The very next day, I worked with a different client. This session flowed effortlessly. There was no pain beforehand, and the client’s peaceful, prayerful energy made the experience uplifting for both of us.
This contrast brought a vital truth to light: when a client is stuck in victimhood and negativity, they unconsciously create an energetic cord that pulls on my vitality. On the other hand, clients who are open, self-motivated, and willing to grow bring ease and grace to the healing process.
A New Way Forward
Reflecting on these experiences, I realized I must honor my own well-being. "Nothing is more important than I feel good" is no longer just a phrase—it's my guiding principle.
To embody this, I’ve decided to:
A Spiritual Lesson
This realization took me back to a vision I had during a healing session. In it, I saw Adam, created by God, struggling with the energy of Azazil (Satan). Azazil, in his jealousy and arrogance, refused to bow to Adam, and instead of focusing on his divine purpose, Adam felt compelled to "help" Azazil.
This vision mirrored the unhealthy dynamics I sometimes see in my work: empathic individuals sacrificing their own happiness to save others. But we are not responsible for others’ choices. Only they can choose to rise above their pain, just as Adam eventually did when he embraced his divine role.

Empowering Change
To those stuck in victimhood, I ask:
Journal on these questions. Dive deep. And when you're ready, make a firm decision to let go and live your best life.
Remember, holding onto low vibrations not only affects you—it impacts everyone around you. Saying "nothing is more important than I feel good" isn't selfish; it's a commitment to your highest self and the light you bring to the world.
My Commitment
Moving forward, I am choosing to honor my own well-being by working with clients who are ready to walk their own journey. My role is to carry the light—not to walk the path for them.
If you’re ready to let go of what no longer serves you and embrace a life of joy and fulfillment, I’d love to support you. But remember: the decision to heal must come from you.
Here’s what one client had to say about working with me:
"During my breakthrough call with Mariam, she provided profound insights that helped me uncover shadows I hadn’t fully cleared. Her guidance reminded me that forgiveness is the key to healing. Thanks to her, I now feel empowered to take small, actionable steps toward a life of abundance." – Anonymous
